About Our Training

If you, your team, or any of the people around you would like to learn more about how to make your organisation more young people friendly in and around the world of volunteering, you are invited and encouraged to join us for a highly immersive and interactive online workshop with lots of practical takeaways designed to ensure your organisation attracts and retains the young volunteers you're looking for!

Youth Volunteering in Schools Resource Training

We are delighted to announce that we have 4 new training sessions coming up - designed to introduce you to our 'Youth Volunteering in Schools Resource' and how you can embed the teachings from it into your own organisations. 

Note - the below events are 4 instalments of the same training session. You do not need to attend all 4 sessions, please select the event with the date and location which suits you best.  

West of Scotland - Online

Central, Tayside, and East of Scotland - Online

FAQ's

How many workshops do I need to attend?

Many of our sessions are designed to be delivered as one single workshop only. For your convenience there are multiple dates and locations to choose from. Please pick the one that is most suitable to you!

I've attended a workshop already, can I attend again?

Yes, no problem. 

What is the community of practice & how many should I attend?

We are building a dynamic, flexible and supportive community focused on creating the best possible conditions for young people to learn, develop and grow through volunteering opportunities. Join colleagues from across Scotland to share practice, ideas and resources. You should attend as many of the Community of Practice events as you can.

Can I book multiple spots for my colleagues? 

Yes, but please make sure you all turn up!

How much does the training cost?

The training is free thanks to funding from the Scottish Government. 

What video conference platform will the training be on? 

We use Zoom as a platform because it gives the best learning environment. If you want to book a full session for your own organisation we can use alternative platforms (Teams etc).
